I told probably 50 people exactly what I'm doing to make those returns (alliance people) so they too can make more isk. You can be sure that when people are making 3500isk/lp they sure as hell aren't going to tell you what they are doing.
Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you? Nobody is going to tell you what to use if they did, more people would be purchasing those items with LP and selling them, thus driving the price down. Just like invention, production, and trading profits require you to be able to read the market and pick items that can make a profit, you have to do the same with the LP store if you're trying to use your LP to earn money. So much of it depends upon the local market that there are no hard and fast rules. The only remaining question is how fast can you sell them.

Take the sell price of a full batch of items, subtract that monetary cost of getting those items, divide by the number of LPs needed to buy that batch of items. Look at how much those LP store items typically sell for.
